Mark your calendars for August 6 and this great event Fall Creek Volunteer Fire Dept has each year. Enjoy some great live bands , best BBQ this side of Memphis and weather permitting WINGS AIR RESCUE will be there to meet and answer questions.
Charity Events 2011
Avery News . Net is currently working on 2 charity events for this year.
The first one will be a 5 k run and a 1.5 fun walk that will donate all proceeds to the Avery County School system.
Sheriff Kevin Frye has offered to help me determine a route that will meet the 5 k requirement and with traffic.
This event will be after school starts back and when it cools down some.We will need sponsers and also runners, and walkers. Sponsership is 25.00 and you will get your moneys worth through this site.
Entry Fee for runners and walkers will be 20.00.
The next event is all the folks that are participating in the Local Talent Search on this site will be invited to a year end jamboree , that also will have all proceeds going to a charity to be named later.
Keep up with not just bad news but lots of good news in Avery County with this site.
