Friday night’s bingo event was a great success. Those who came out for this event was treated to a variety of delicious desserts, as well as a fun night of bingo, and the chance to win some great prizes. We just want to take time to thank all those who helped out with this event.
The Beech Mountain Community Club’s community closet, as well as the lending libraries for both children and adults, will now be open every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM (weather permitting), to better accommodate people’s schedules. We have a large variety of men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing in all different sizes, as well as many household items. All clothing is free of charge, and our household items are very reasonably priced. Make sure to dress warm.
The Beech Mountain Community Club’s gym is open for walking on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11 PM to 1 PM. Any interested should call ahead.
The Beech Mountain Community Club needs volunteers for its lending library, children’s library, craft center, and community closet. If you are interested in helping us, please contact Tammy Jones at 828-898-2094, or the Beech Mountain Community Club at 828-898-5051. Any donations you can make to our libraries or community closet would be greatly appreciated as well.
Keep in mind that there is always something going on at the community center. The Beech Mountain Community Club gym is open for basketball every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6 PM to 9 PM. Our lending library is also open on Tuesday nights from 5 PM to 8 PM. We have Jewelry Making classes available on Tuesday nights, starting at 6:00 PM. Zumba classes are held on Mondays and Thursdays, starting at 7 PM. Crocheting and Rug Hooking classes are available on Tuesdays, starting at 6 PM. Line Dancing classes are available on Tuesday at 7 PM. During the winter months, these events may be cancelled due to winter weather. In case of bad weather, please contact the community center at 898-5051 for information on any schedule changes or cancellations.
