Toe Tapping Bluegrass with Avery County's Johnson Brothers

Banner Elk Concerts In The Park came alive last night to Avery County's own Johnson Brothers. Parking was not available near the park if you did not get there early, I got there at 5 p.m. for the 6:30 event,  oh well walking from Lees-Mcrae was good exercise.

One spectator said folks were there at 2 p.m.  setting up their lawn chairs and staking out spots on the ground for their blankets. Carolina BBQ was on hand from Newland to feed the hungry fans with their great BBQ.

The Johnson Brothers were in fine form with their excellent musicianship and tight vocals. At the front of the stage many fans danced on a large dance floor.

Avery News . Net will post an indepth interview soon with the Johnson Brothers , that will have their schedule.  I urge you to see this great local band when they perform next, they also have CDs available.

Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce did a great job hosting this event, and several local sponsers made possible. Call them for more info, and I have also posted a complete concert schedule for the parks concerts on here. They are also FREE!

Enjoy the videos , and if you like more of this type of news, e mail me or click my Face Book button.
